About Yamaichi Architecture

We began in 1976 with architectural design focused mainly on reinforced concrete and steel-frame buildings. Since our founding, we have designed a wide variety of buildings, including apartment buildings, office buildings, nursery facilities, community halls, restaurants, and entertainment facilities.

Since 1992, we have also served as the Japan office of the American brand Hearthstone, which has allowed us to pursue our passion for specialized timber architecture while supporting clients who seek high-quality design and craftsmanship.

In recent years, we have also worked to promote and improve large-timber architecture in Japan through leadership roles in the Japan Timber Frame Association, the Japan Dovetail Association, and the Japan Hand-Hewn Association.
